二十八部衆

(二十八部衆, 二十八部众)

The thousand-hand Guanyin has twenty-eight groups of [lang id =1028]大仙衆great ṛṣis or genii, under the direction of the [lang id =1028]孔雀王 Peacock king, Mayūrarāja; also each of the [lang id =1028]四天王 mahārājas, or guardians of the four regions, has the same provision of demons, known as [lang id =1028]鬼神衆 company of spirits.
